Computing in Cardiology – In memory of Carlo Marchesi

Carlo Marchesi was, along with Rosanna Degani, a scientist and leader who introduced so many young Italian researchers into the scientific community that every year meets at Computers in Cardiology (Computing in Cardiology today). His research on biological signal processing has been fundamental to the development of the discipline and forms the basis for many young researchers. He also was member of the CinC Board of Directors for several years and gave lots of very positive support, always stimulating new initiatives for our CinC community. We can never forget his helpfulness and his personal and scientific generosity, which continue to serve as a reference of an outstanding colleague and a true friend.
